Special Note from Richard Huggins

In response to the tragic events of September 11, and in honor of the United States of America, I am making this arrangement free of charge to anyone wanting to use it. (Arranger credit in printed programs is appreciated.) While it is designed as an a cappella arrangement, if using accompaniment helps you be able to use it when or how you wish, you have my blessing. I hope that it encourages you, your choir and your people.

--Richard Huggins

DESCRIPTION: This arrangement might be characterized as "challenging, yet tasty." The special harmonies and the construction of the arrangement bring a stirring excitement to our national anthem. There are two versions, the original SSATTB and an SATB.

AUDIO SAMPLE. If you would like to hear an ensemble singing this arrangement (SSATTB version), here is an mp3 file to hear, as recorded by a church ensemble. Mp3 files usually are playable with Windows Media Player and various software programs for the Mac, such as Quicktime, Soundjam or iTunes.
