Richard Huggins is a musical arranger, producer, performing artist and music editor residing in Tyler, Texas. His background includes church staff positions, freelance music productions, music evangelism and music leadership roles at state and national Baptist denominational events. He also has been pianist or organist at four Billy Graham Associate Crusades. His professional background also includes service as the Creative Director, Musicals and Collections, for Word Music, Nashville, TN.

Born in Oklahoma City, he is the son of Dr. James R. Huggins, M.D. (deceased) and Mrs. Lois Hopper (deceased). He is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University, where he was a member of the university's renowned Bison Glee Club.

When five years old, Richard began piano lessons, adding classical organ study at age 10. Throughout high school and college, he served as an accompanist for Baptist events in Oklahoma. In subsequent years he also has played for or taught at national denominational events for Lifeway Christian Services, Nashville, TN. He has served as a full-time or part-time church staff member in churches in four states.

Richard has recorded three albums, has several published choral arrangements and has written four books of piano arrangements, three for Word Music and one for Genevox Publishing.
